APPLE TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION SHOWS 120MHz 604-BASED PCI MAC
(December 16th 1994) We are still coming across things that we missed
at the Comdex trade show, like the first Apple demonstration of a PCI
machine with a PowerPC 604 processor. Moreover the PowerPC 604 in
question was apparently running at 120MHz, the first time that we
have heard of the chip running at this speed.
As with all of these demonstrations, Apple was making no warranty
that the thing would ever appear commercially. No more details of
what was inside the box were available.
